Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing – Changing our Perceptions
We are delighted to announce that the next in the IABA’s series of online webinars is scheduled for Thursday 21st May 2020 at 10:30am. The theme for this workshop will be ‘Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing – Changing our Perceptions’ and it will be facilitated by Martin O’Hara (MS. Sport & Exercise Psychology).
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will focus on taking care of our Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing. Specifically, this workshop will be centred around ‘our perceptions’, and how the way in which we perceive a certain situation can have a positive or negative effect on our mental health. This is particularly relevant during the difficult times that we are currently in, and with the challenges that are presented due to COVID19.
This workshop will explore the idea of changing our perceptions using our internal dialogue (self-talk). This psychological skill has shown to have positive benefits in reducing anxiety and stress, and increasing confidence in certain situations.
